Hi Ladies,
Meine liebe Nachbarin ist schwanger und bekommt im Januar ihr Baby… *riesigfreu*. Heute war ihre Baby Shower Party, die ihre beiden Freundinnen organisierten. Ich durfte vor 1 Jahr meine allererste Windeltorte in ihrem Auftrag anfertigen (und in der Zwischenzeit habe ich noch weiter von diesen genialen Geschenkideen gemacht). Eigentlich hatte ich nun also vor, Ihr ebenso eine Windeltorte zu werkeln. Dann haben mich die beiden Organisatorinnen der Party aber genau für dieselbige angefragt :) Klar, mach ich gerne. Und so haben sie das Material dafür besorgt und ich hab’s zum zusammenstellen der Torte bekommen. Das ist daraus geworden.
My lovely neighbour is pregnant and she’ll give birth to her baby in January… *lookingforward*. Today was her Baby Shower Party, that her two friends organised. 1 year ago she asked me to create a diaper cake… that was my very first (and meanwhile I’ve made some more of this genious gift idea). So I intended to create one for her. Then I was asked by the two organisators of the party, if I could make one for them :) Shure, I’d love to. And so they organised and brought me the material and I made it. That’s what it looks like.
Gut, die Windeltorte war also gesichert. Nun hatte ich mir also auch noch ein Mitbringsel überlegt… und zwar eine ganz besondere Torte :) Es ist mein Erstlingswerk mit selbstgemachtem Fondant (Marshmellow geschmolzen und mit Puderzucker zu Masse geknetet). Hihihi… ich wollte das schon länger mal probieren… aber nun hat’s geklappt und ich bin sehr über das Ergebnis erfreut. Wird sicher nicht meine letzte Torte sein :)
Good, the diaper cake is organised. Now I had thought about a little something to come up with… and that should be a very special cake :) It’s my very first selfmade fondant cake (melted Marshmellow kneaded with lots of powder sugar). Hihihi… that’s something I wanted to try out for so long… but now it was finally time to do it and I’m so glad about the result. It’s certainly not gonna be my last cake :)

Ich habe das Biscuit in Body-Form geschnitten und eine Mascarpone-Himbeer Crèmeschicht eingearbeitet. Danach habe ich den Fondant dünn ausgerollt und den Kuchen damit überzogen und verziert.
I’ve cutted the Biscuit into a Body Shape and filled it with Mascarpone-Raspberry Cream. Then I’ve rolled out the fondant and covered and decorated the cake.
Natürlich braucht so ein Baby auch die passenden Schühchen… dazu habe ich die abgeschnittenen Kuchenreste zerkrümelt und mit Mascarpone verknetet. Daraus zwei ovale Bällchen geformt und mit (Lebensmittelfarbe) pastell gelb eingefärbtem Fondant überzogen. Dann die Rückseite der Schühchen zugeschnitten, drangeklebt, Bändel durchgefädelt und verziert.
Of course a little baby needs the matching shoes… therefore I’ve mixed the cutting rest of the cake with a bit of Mascarpone. Formed two oval balls out of it and covered them with pastell yellow coloured (food colour) fondant. Then made the backside of the shoes, sticked them on, threaded them and finally decorated them.
Ein anderes unumgängliches Accessoire für Babies ist der Schnuller… den habe ich komplett aus Fondant-Masse geformt.
Another must have accesory for babies is a pacifier… I’ve formed it completely out of fondant.
Et voilà… sieht doch süss aus, oder? Ich habe der Beschenkten jedenfalls eine grosse Freude und Überraschung bereitet. Sie wollte den Kuchen gar nicht anschneiden HAHAHAHA….
Et voilà… doesn’t that look sweet? Anyway it was a big pleasure and surprise for her. She didn’t wanted to cut the cake HAHAHAHA…
